We are and have been residents of the Short Pump area now for over 7 years now. We transferred into the area from a larger metropolitan city. We have two children who attend Henrico public schools in the Far west end and we live in one of the typical suburban neighborhoods of Short Pump.
While we miss big city life, we have learned to appreciate the great quality of life that Richmond living gives us. Our typical schedule includes several weekly Ukrops runs, juggling the one-too-many activities are kids are in (all I need to say is “soccer” here), a need to spend the weekly $95 at Target, a weekly visit to the Short Pump mall, and eating at 2 area restaurants a week.
While our regular schedule seems monotonous, the daily exploration and discovery of the Short Pump area and the current happenings in our area has been anything but boring. We started this blog to share our thoughts and experiences on family living in the Short Pump area and to hopefully gather your comments and insights as well to share with the local Short Pump family community.
